Gideon Le Roux

Gideon is an internationally trained practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine with over 20 years of experience, specializing primarily in Acupuncture. He is also a long-time teacher of Tai Chi and Qi Gong, and offers Feng Shui consultations for homes and businesses, applying ancient principles to modern living spaces.

With a deep, intuitive understanding of Chi (Qi, Prana, Energy), Gideon's practice is rooted in the classical texts of Chinese medicine, including the I Ching, the Yellow Emperor’s Classic, and foundational Confucian works. His approach is holistic - attending to the physical, mental, and emotional layers of his clients. He incorporates personalized strategies, counselling, and sensitivity to cultural and personal identity into his treatments.

Gideon is known for his gentle, painless acupuncture techniques and has earned a strong reputation among patients seeking relief from painful conditions such as sciatica. More recently, he has developed a unique, acupuncture-based facial rejuvenation method - a non-invasive aesthetic treatment delivering visible, natural results.

After years of practice across four continents, Gideon has recently returned to South Africa. He now treats clients both in person and online from his base in Tamboerskloof, Cape Town. Dedicated to lifelong learning, he continues to deepen his knowledge and share his wisdom through teaching, mentorship, and a growing involvement in men’s work.

Outside of his healing practice, Gideon is also an accomplished chef and author. He is a polymath, with a curious mind and a love for people, puzzles, and meaningful conversation. In his spare time, he enjoys walking, swimming, being in nature, and watching films - and most of all, spending time with his children.
