Anthea van den Bergh
Anthea van den Bergh is a published writer, poet and teacher on themes of spirituality, mystical womanhood and blossoming beyond trauma. The daughter of two consciousness coaches and yogis, Anthea has been a student of spirituality and conscious living since she was a teenager. As a writer from a young age, Anthea has explored and practised every type of storytelling under the sun, including working as a journalist, podcast producer, and theatre performer. Haiku poetry became her haven during the Covid-19 pandemic where she wrote an entire collection on love and loneliness. Anthea now divides her time between her writing and spiritual teaching through her brand Soulful Woman Club and working as a freelance copywriter and personal branding consultant for coaches, leaders and purpose-led businesses.
About her teaching: The word “enthusiasm” comes from the Ancient Greek to mean “being filled or possessed by God or the Divine, to be rapt, to be in ecstasy.” As a teacher, I embody this fuller sense of enthusiasm - filled with spirit and Spirit. I’m a lifelong student of Julia Cameron and her creative tome, The Artist’s Way, and so I believe in writing and poetry as a creative and spiritual practice to plot our dreams, commune with our hearts and truth, and heal ourselves through expression. I see writing as a practice and flow, rather than simply an end result and product, so my style of teaching is non-judgemental, encouraging and warm. As a trained classical musician and middle eastern dancer, I am also forever inspired by music and dance in my teaching and individual creative practice.
