A Kundalini Yoga teacher, yoga therapist, and licensed acupuncturist known for his sense of humor, music, and extensive knowledge of the healing field, he offers a direct and fun approach to the healing dynamics of Kundalini Yoga. Amanbir currently shares his in-depth understanding of energetic and physical anatomy in Kundalini Yoga and therapy trainings worldwide including GuruRamDas Yoga Teacher trainings. He teaches at many major yoga festivals including Sat Nam Fest, Wanderlust, Yoga Journal conference, Kripalu and now SpiritFest. He has produced many tracks to inspire and uplift others that captures his modern embrace of the ancient sound current of mantras. He holds a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
Mukesh has been practicing and teaching yoga and meditation for more than 15 years. Inspired by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder of the Art of Living Foundation, Mukesh has been conducting monthly Happiness Programmes in Cape Town where participants learn the Sudarshan Kriya, an advanced breathing technique. He was made Cape Town’s first Art of Meditation /Sahaj Samadhi teacher, being able to initiate seekers into an ancient and beautiful mantra meditation practice. In 2016 he was made the first resident Advanced Course/Art of Silence teacher of the Art of Living. Art of Living is a not for profit international NGO and its mission in Africa to empower individuals and create a stress-free, violence-free society.
VALENTINA LEO – (a.k.a. Mrslove) is a Dakini -embodied teacher – from the Traditional Tantric lineage of Kashmir Shivaism that recognise the body as Vibration and Space. Nadine McNeil’s mission as a yoga teacher, speaker, transformational coach and humanitarian is to ignite infinite possibility in people around the world and share yoga with diverse underserved communities. Over the last few decades, Nadine has travelled the world in service of the UN, UNICEF, Global Volunteer Network and Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. These and other experiences rooted Nadine’s continued devotion to activism. Inspired by her firsthand encounters with both the resilience of the human spirit and also its suffering, Nadine’s talks, workshops, yoga sessions, Women’s Circles and retreats are continually described as powerful, moving and insightful.
Gerlinde is a volunteer and teacher for The Art of Living Foundation. She has been teaching yoga and meditation for more than 15 years. Together with her husband, Mukesh she conducts monthly Happiness programs in Cape Town, where participants learn an advanced breathing technique, the Sudarshan Kriya - promoting an integrated way of life, allowing people to become more aware, connected and contented.
She is one of two Advanced-level Sri Sri Yoga teachers in Africa, facilitating yoga retreats which incorporate knowledge on the Yogic scriptures and Ayurvedic cleanings practices.
Gerlinde draws on her enthusiasm and love of life and sharing to inspire a holistic and healthy lifestyle combining yoga, meditation and breath-work.
VIKTOR VAN DER KLEIJ
Viktor’s foundation studies included the traditions of Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda and Dona Holleman, a student of Krishnamurti and Scaravelli. Born in Holland and have resided in South Africa for the last 10 years, Viktor helped co-create Maluca Marruma, a permaculture/Yoga community project in Pemba, Mozambique. He established an education centre, based on self-sustainability and transformation. He is a regular guest teacher at Yoga schools in Europe and conduct retreats, courses and workshops there, as well as in India. The teachings will include meditation, asana, pranayama, chanting, kirtan and satsang (enquiry).

Triveni started teaching children’s integral yoga in 2011. After running a successful children’s yoga program at Ananda Kutir Ashram she started working for Children of Light School: an NPO that infuses the principals of integral yoga with mainstream education. Every child is born with a divine spark and purpose in life. It is our job to nurture that divinity in order for the individual to reach their highest potential.

Ginette has a teaching background but her move into marketing and the corporate world led her to deepen her yoga and meditation practice as a way to still the mind and restore the soul. Ginette explored Hatha, Bikram and Iyengar before finding “her home” in Kundalini. She teaches at Gururamdas Yoga Studio in Gardens, at The Source in Bergvliet and in Newlands as part of Body Mind Breath Community Yoga. She has also taught at AfrikaBurn, Space of Love and Learning Man.
Specialising in the application of Anatomy and Physiology for the practice and teaching of Yoga Asana and healthy living, Thomas runs courses and workshops aimed at demystifying the complexities of the human body. At SpiritFest he will be guiding us through the main principles of keeping our practice safe and sacred. Thomas teaches teachers at The Shala in Cape Town.

Atma’s Yoga journey began almost 5 DECADES ago, during which time she learned from a variety of styles until she finally “came home” to Kundalini Yoga in the late 1990’s. She established Kundalini Yoga in Cape Town before moving to Barrydale in the Little Karoo where she lives and runs Little Samadhi Karoo Retreat. She is a teacher trainer, a certified Health Coach and Ka Huna bodywork practitioner.

Kundalini Class for Kids Ages 3-7 (with parents) We will go on a journey together that combines music, movement, song and dance and that will leave you laughing and glowing. Class for Kids Ages 8-14 (parents welcome) Join us for a beautiful Kundalini Yoga class exploring the life lessons and wisdom of Nelson Mandela. We will learn some of the things he taught that help us along in life – like laughing at ourselves at times and also becoming still. The class will combine Kundalini Yoga chants with movement and meditation. We explore what gives us strength and how to be in our power. We also practice letting go and letting be. Kathleen has a passion for teaching the reputable "Absolute Beginners Course" which runs twice a year. She strives to encourage all yoga practioners to be mindful about their alignment and foundation and to take the time to develop a self-practice. Kathleen also feels strongly about the importance of addressing health issues through movement and meditation and continues to use yoga as a tool to help students with depression, anxiety and other illnesses. In 2015 she completed her 200hour RYT at her home studio "The Shala - Cape Town Yoga School” where she teaches and manages. If you are new to yoga - Kathleen is a best place to start.
Maya Pratt has taught vinyasa yoga for over 10 years and is the owner and founder of Unraveled Yoga in Cape Town. Her flow classes are inspired by fun, creative and playful movements while incorporating Bhakti tenants of storytelling, mantra and devotion along the way. At SpiritFest, Maya will be leading a Bhakti inspired flow where students will get to meet, play, dance, flow and sing to some of yoga’s most prominent myths and deities.
